Google Chrome Hotmail Problem Solution

13 Dec

UPDATE: The fix will cause inability to read mails.

I couldn’t let go of Google Chrome, so I checked bug reports and I found a temporary fix to the problem. For my future reference until Chrome devs fix the issue, here’s what needs to be done:

  1. Right Click on the Google Chrome shortcut (Desktop or whereever you place it).
  2. Left Click on Properties.
  3. On the Target box, add the following line at the end:
--user-agent="Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US) AppleWebKit/525.19 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1 Safari/525.19"

Therefore, if you are running Chrome in Windows, your target should look like:

C:\path\to\chrome.exe --user-agent="Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US) AppleWebKit/525.19 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1 Safari/525.19"

Close all instances of Chrome and open the browser again using the shorcut prepared above.

Google Chrome In WP

3 Sep

I’ve been reading about Google’s Chrome release and I had to try it. The first thing I did was to check how get_browser() would call this new browser. I have no knowledge whatsover of how Chrome was developed, so I was surprised to know that PHP calls it a Safari.

Weekend Getaway: The Recap

28 Jul

There’s not much to say because I have pictures to show. Saturday morning we headed to Six Flags Great Adventure to visit the park (duh!) We started off with Wild Safari which is a basically a zoo. We weren’t allowed to leave the car, so the photos we took had reflections of the windshield and windows. I had to select a few to be published here.

Afterwards, we went to Hurricane Harbor. I didn’t ride any except the The Big Bambu and Reef Runner. The file was long in most rides that we lost interest so we spent the bulk of our trip in the Taak It Eez Ee Creek.

Later in the afternoon, we headed to Sicklerville, New Jersey to spend time with a family friend. There we spent the night and the whole Sunday.

Safari

15 Jul

I’ve known for a while that Apple is working on a Windows version of Safari. Finally, I found a time to install; it’s on Beta. It is pretty cool. I feel like I’m on a Mac. I guess I don’t have to fantasize about having a Mac since Apple is expanding towards Windows compatibility. Safari is the last application I wanted from Apple since the release of iTunes for Windows. I’m satisfied.
