So you thought that I only followed Michael Phelps. Uhm, not true! I followed the whole swimming meet. I’ve rooted for the Americans the whole time. In women’s I’ve rooted for Natalie Couglin who had medals in all of her six events including a gold in 100m Backstroke. I really liked her. However, I like Stephanie Rice of Australia more because she’s so cute and pretty. I never rooted for her though.

An overdue post: My favorite EB Babes… I like Belle a lot. I also like Saida because she’s so cute. Angel is OK because she’s kind of cute, but her height doesn’t fit her. Right now, I always look at Siada everytime they appear on TV. She’s really pretty and always smiles. Another one I like is Madel. I didn’t use to like her, but now she’s coming off pretty for me. And she’s figuratively sexy: long sng slender.

I had a short term absence online, if anyone noticed. I did it intentionally because nothing was coming out of my head, except the back entries that I will be posting tonight. They were posted offline in my i-touch-nothing-happens. I installed an offline WP there so that I can write directly through there and I don’t have to re-format my entries when I’m publishing online. Before my word processing software was formatting the entries when I copy & paste.
I vowed to halt my presence in the world wide web for a week. I didn’t even check if I had comments for moderation. I was going to reinstate my presence on Monday, but a slew of ideas came into my head and I didn’t want to lose them, so I’m writing this now while I’m on the ferry.
For some reason, I feel relieved from anger and all the negative thoughts that’s why I’m able to write again. I was reading so much of Ayn Rand that I realized I was bashing society so much. It is as if I’m emphasizing society, thus giving it more importance. Well, I’ll lay low on that topic for now. I was thinking of writing about emotions, especially pain. I heard a Dolores O’riordan song and it inspired me to personify pain and destruction. I don’t think I can, but I’ll think something along the way that’ll satisfy my urge to write about it.

Enabling mod_rewrite for Apache2 in Ubuntu is very easy. All you need is run the a2enmod (apache2enablemodule) command. This command can be used for enabling any module for Apache.
sudo a2enmod rewrite
sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 force-reload

I was watching “High Fidelity” and I thought about confessing something. The reason why I started collecting CDs is because I wanted to have a soundtrack of my life. As of this moment, I have not picked one, not even a track. There is no way I can choose the tracks that will narrate the moments in my life with my ongoing collection. Rob Gordon (John Cusack) had about tenfolds more records than I do and I’m very particular with the genre I listen to. I have no variety, thus my choices are thin. I’m full of rage inside, yet I can’t listen to a raging music. I listen to the Manics because I love the melodies they make and I love the revolution they make, but I hate the message. I enjoy the act, not the substance. I listen to Travis because they look cool, like some songs, but mostly hate the style because it’s too gloomy for me. I listen to Stereophonics because the music rocks, but I can’t relate to the words because they are all stories. I listen to Oasis because they’re just fooking badass. I listen to the Cranberries because I love the music, but I can’t relate. I listen to the Corrs because they influenced me in so many things especially the love for music. I listen to hundreds of bands and artists in the alternative scene, but I never listened to a record that describes me.

Tonight, before going to bed I thought I’d post an entry on a very interesting Korean film I just saw. It’s called Somebody Special. It’s a romantic comedy about a baseball player trying to find the meaning of love and a girl who has been in love with him since they were young. The story does not interest me, rather it’s the humor. Though many have said that romance and comedy blended really well in the movie (and I agree), the humor has the upperhand. It’s not a simple funny humor, rather it’s a laugh-out-loud humor delivered subtly yet obvious. Finally a paradox from me.
I found this film while searching for Lee Na Young’s works. I like Na Young’s acting because she’s eccentric. She’s vulnerable, yet strong and I think she’s the only actress who can do what she does with her tongue (no malicious intent).

I don’t know you
But I want you
All the more for that
Words fall through me
And always fool me
And I can’t react
And games that never amount
To more than they’re meant
Will play themselves out

The first time I saw Keira was in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl Disney premiere. A month before, I’ve heard of an early putdown of the movie and I kind of agree to that Virginian DJ. If I was to see the movie, it’s because of Keira, and as simple as that, I did. Aside from seeing a wonderful movie, I also came out of the theater thinking of nobody, but Keira. Believe it or not, my attraction to her began after seeing her fingers. There wasn’t too much display of her beautiful face in the first fifteen minutes in the movie. She has beautiful fingernails.
The attraction did not develop simply because she has beautiful fingernails. During research, something very spectacular came up. I happened to be three years her senior — that’s 1095 days. We share the same birthday. Any fanatic would agree with me that they are special if they share a birthday with someone the adore.
Aside from Pirates…, Keira also starred in Princess of Thieves and Bend It Like Beckham.
