Dreams (Bi-Mong)

September 20th, 2008

I’m so excited for this Korean film to come out on torrent (oopps!) Starring the two of my most favored actors — Joe O-dagiri (Shinobi) and Lee Na Young (Somebody Special), I have to see the film. The big screen release is early October, so a subtitled DVD quality should be out early next year. This will be another tear-jerker and depressing movie, but it’s the substance that matters including the excellent acting that I will be expecting from the two. This will be the second O-dagiri piece I’ll be seeing and it’s been a while since Lee made a project. If you want to know why I’m expecting the best of this, check the stream below.

This looks interesting bossing. I also like the track in the later part of the trailer. Nakakainis manuod ng sad movies kasi parang niloloko ko lang sarili ko kasi apektado ako masyado; pero sila yung nagpipilit sayo na makaramdam saka sila yung mas maaalala mo. Movies I can handle kasi mabilis lang series eh ayoko talaga manuod, nakakaloko na talaga yun.

I have high expectations of this movie. A good art is something that touches you where it counts. If you keep avoiding such themes, you may be neglecting something that may have connections with you? Aren’t we all thriving to connect in the socialized world we live in?

Let me give you an example…the book Time Traveler’s Wife. I love this book. It’s a very good romance/sci-fi but I refuse to reread because I still remember how I felt when I finished it. It’s just heartbreaking. There was some presence of hope in the ending but it’s the kind of hope that’s almost like a punishment.

Wait…Are you thriving to connect in the socialized world we live in? hahaha

This looks like a question you would ask to test someone.

I was expecting that. What I meant was that I was born to thrive for connection, not my current state.

These kind of films actually help me understand more what I should do - that is complete detachment.

Complete detachment? It’s really an interesting idea but an impossible reality. Just like Roark, I see him more of an idea than a real person.
