PI vs PDA2
July 12th, 2008
Today I had a tiny luxury to watch Pinoy Dream Academy 2’s performance night. I’ve seen their contestants scholars a few days back because the network seems to be injecting every little bit of segments from the 24-hour affairs within the academy. That means I see their faces everytime I pass through the channel. I may sound bias and I believe I may be, but the Idols are better than the scholars.
The Idols have variations when it comes to talent and style; the scholars don’t. It’s boring when you see a singing contest and all contestants have the same style of music. That’s why I like the Pinoy Idol. However, I like Cristina “Cris” Pastor a lot. That’s the only thing I like about PDA2.

I couldn’t care less of what the judges say really, so that part is irrelevant to me. Nobody can tell me if what I’m looking for is a good performance or not. It’s like the band THE KILLERS. Before seeing them perform, I dig them. However, after seeing them perform lifelessly, I lost interest. I’m not too technical when it comes to entertainment really as long as I enjoy the art and I can feel it. I think that performances @ PDA2 are rather dead.

ok, agree, some. i have to qualify that. perhaps, that’s the reason why they got mean comments from gerald salonga. and there’s a fuss going around that almost anything is scripted inside the academy. whether it’s true or not, they got a good scriptwriter. now, we are really fuzzing about them, abs and gma should give us some credits. what do you think? :-D
