What caught my attention about Chantal Kreviazuk is her voice. Her covers of the Beatle’s “In My Life” for the hit TV series, Providence, and John Denver’s “Leaving On A Jetplane” for the blockbuster movie, Armageddon are absolutely amazing. I did not see her until I saw the music video for “Before You.” Even after that I didn’t pay attention to Chantal physically, instead, I purchased both her albums, Under These Rocks & Stones and Colour Moving & Still.
Lately, I saw the music video for “In This Life,” the first single off Chantal’s third album What If All Means Something, and thought that it was not only an excellent video, but the song was also amazing. Since the album has not been released in the States, I researched the Internet to get the song. Fortunately, her official web site offers snippets of the tracks as well as the full music video. From then on, I researched more about her until I found out more about her.

From Chantal Kreviazuk’s latest album, What If It All Means Something, Time is such a wonderful song in such a way that time was considered an entity. I consider time my immortal enemy, so it’s amazing to listen to a song where you actually talk to time. Here’s the lyrics.
Time, where did you go?
Why did you leave me here alone?
Wait, don’t go so fast
I’m missing the moments as they pass
Now I’ve looked in the mirror and the worlds getting clearer
So wait for me this time
I’m down I’m down on my knees I’m begging for all your sympathy
But you (I’m just an illusion) you don’t seem to care (I wish that I could)
You humble people everywhere (I don’t mean to hurt you)
Now I’ve looked in the mirror and the worlds getting clearer
I’ll take what you give me. Please know that I’m learning
So wait for me this time
I should’ve know better
I shouldn’t have wasted those days
And afternoons and mornings
I threw them all away
Now this is my time
I’m going to make this moment mine.
(I shouldn’t have wasted those days)
I’ll take what you give me. Please know that I’m learning
I’ve looked in the mirror
My world’s getting clearer
So wait for me this time

Wow! That’s what I said when I found out that Chantal Kreviazuk was born in May 18, 1974. Why was I surprised? Well, Andrea Corr was born May 17, 1974. I knew Chantal long before I found out about her birthday. Am I attracted to people born around May 1974? Or are great musicians born in May 1974? This is an amazing find. Wow! Wow! Wow!

Watching the coverage of the War In Iraq, I sometimes feel lost when they talk about formations. What consists more soldiers, a company or a brigade. So, I did a research and here it is!

Late this afternoon, John Gibson talked about International Criminal Court in his show, The Big Story, with the Fox News Channel’s senior judicial analyst Andrew P. Napolitano. The discussion targeted the possibility that ICC members can arrest President Bush and his secret service when they travel to Europe. This issue is very close to my heart because, like the Judge pointed out, the establishment of this Court will definitely cause the third World War. I have covered this in my speech in school as well as pointed out its significance to a few people. The establishment of this Court is an unsubtle example of Europe’s effort to takeover the United States. Leaders of the continent that the US have defended for years can’t get the fact, that they are no longer the powerful nations and they are no longer living in the feudal world, in their thick heads.
On another note, I have not talked about journalists during the War in Iraq. I have not glued myself in front of news channels since the War In Afghanistan. No, I’m not going to talk about the issues covered because it would probably take on a book. What I will point out, however, are the faces covering this war. Let’s start with Paula Zahn. Though she’s old, she is unbelievably beautiful. There’s also Jennifer Eccleston who is dubbed Miss Shock & Awe. I don’t need to listen to her reports to get her attention. She is drop-dead gorgeous. In addition to flinging her hair, I think she’s more worried of her lips than her topic. Heather Nauert is also beautiful. Finally, Daryn Kagan attracts my attention from time to time.
I can’t wait to see these women, except Paula since she’s been in New York the whole time caused by her injury, back in their formal attires and see whether my attraction changes.

Avril Lavigne paved the way to the present music scene. She’s the reason why I started watching music videos again. Before she came, watching Britney and the boybands swarming the music channels made me feel disgusted of the whole American pop culture. Avril helped kick out the bubble gum pop. With her talent, her musical growth will be outstanding and I can’t wait for her second album. However, she should avoid the I wanna do what I wanna do image so often because it makes her more like a poser.
